Position Overview:
As the Manager, HR Technology - Compensation, you will report directly to the Associate Director of HR Technology. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the technical authority for Workday's Advanced and Core Compensation modules, overseeing the strategic roadmap, management, and upkeep of Workday's functionalities. Your expertise in Workday will be essential as you collaborate closely with our Total Rewards Team, acting as the primary technical resource and providing support to the HR department in daily operations, ongoing enhancements, and system configurations to fulfill diverse business needs. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, blending onsite and remote responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and oversee the Workday Compensation roadmap in collaboration with HR Functional leaders and the HR technology team.
2. Lead medium to large-scale enhancements and projects, establishing and maintaining project scope and timelines, mitigating risks, and ensuring deliverables are achieved.
3. Manage HR Technology Analysts, providing training, coaching, and constructive feedback to enhance team performance and guide contingent worker resources and vendors.
4. Configure and test new setups, enhancements, and updates, ensuring all changes are meticulously tested, documented, and implemented in accordance with established guidelines.
5. Present demonstrations and Proof of Concepts for new functionalities.
6. Manage Tier 3 cases, including root cause analysis and issue trend evaluation.
7. Offer strategic recommendations to leadership aimed at enhancing employee/user experience and introducing new functionalities to address current and future requirements.
8. Assess, strategize, and manage Workday releases and future functionalities in partnership with internal Total Rewards stakeholders.
9. Coordinate with other departments to ensure that Feature Releases, Weekly Service Updates, or other application enhancements do not disrupt downstream processes.
10. Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders through effective meeting facilitation, keeping them informed, and collaborating on deliverables.
11. Work alongside the HR Team and other departments to identify and propose necessary improvements and enhancements to existing processes and solutions.
12. Support broader cross-functional Workday projects as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, HR, or technology is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant Workday experience, including at least 2 years focused on Advanced Compensation.
- Experience with Global Systems.
- Proven people management experience.
- Strong analytical skills, including problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and effective communication of complex results.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build trust and foster relationships at all organizational levels.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Demonstrated capability to train team members on technology and best practices.
