As the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor, you will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless operation of our hotel facilities.
Your role will involve assisting in the management of daily maintenance operations, supporting the Engineering team, and ensuring that our hotel is maintained to the highest standards.
This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about hospitality, possess a solid background in maintenance, and thrive in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee Maintenance Operations:
Assist in managing and coordinating daily maintenance tasks, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general facility repairs.
Preventive Maintenance:
Ensure timely completion of preventive maintenance activities to prevent equipment failures and extend the lifespan of assets.
Team Leadership:
Supervise, train, and mentor the engineering staff, cultivating a positive and productive work atmosphere.
Guest Satisfaction:
Collaborate with front office and housekeeping teams to swiftly address and resolve any maintenance concerns that may affect guest satisfaction.
Safety Compliance:
Ensure that all maintenance tasks are executed in accordance with safety regulations and hotel policies.
Inventory Management:
Assist in monitoring and maintaining an adequate supply of tools, equipment, and materials.
Budgeting:
Support the Chief Engineer in managing the maintenance budget, including tracking expenditures and optimizing costs.
Emergency Response:
Be prepared to respond to maintenance emergencies, including after-hours call-outs as necessary.
Sustainability Initiatives:
Contribute to the hotel's sustainability efforts by identifying opportunities for energy conservation and waste reduction.
Qualifications:
Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a hotel or hospitality maintenance role, with at least 1 year in a supervisory position.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general building maintenance.
Leadership:
Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
Problem-Solving:
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Communication:
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the capability to interact effectively with guests and team members.
Certifications:
Relevant certifications (e.g., HVAC, electrical) are advantageous.
Availability:
Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
