POSITION: Recruitment and Admissions Associate

REPORTS TO: Site Director

LOCATION: Remote

ROLE OVERVIEW

In this position, you will develop a robust pipeline of applicants and oversee the outreach and enrollment process. The Associate will advocate for Per Scholas' mission to prospective students through community engagement, recruitment initiatives, and digital outreach. As a vital part of the student experience, you will enhance and refine our processes while establishing our brand as a respected and sought-after IT training program.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Recruitment & Admissions
  • Execute a comprehensive outreach and admissions strategy throughout its entire lifecycle, ensuring that recruitment and admissions targets are met consistently.
  • Develop and manage a social media marketing plan to enhance student enrollment.
  • Facilitate presentations and conduct off-site information sessions.
  • Establish relationships with referral partner organizations to maintain a steady pipeline of candidates, focusing on mutually beneficial long-term partnerships.
  • Process candidate applications, including conducting phone screenings and information sessions, administering assessments, and participating in in-person interviews.
  • Engage with candidates, building rapport and trust while communicating acceptance statuses.
  • Refer candidates to supportive services and alternative programs as needed.
  • Organize retention activities (networking events, meetups, etc.) for specific alumni groups, including women and young adults.
Data Management
  • Implement the admissions strategy and recommend improvements for data management and tracking.
  • Ensure accurate and timely entry of all data related to stakeholders (applicants, students, volunteers, community organizations, etc.) into Salesforce.
  • Utilize Salesforce to monitor analytics, strategically directing time and resources.
  • Generate reports to document progress and outcomes.
  • Maintain organized recruitment and enrollment data in Salesforce, particularly concerning organizational goals and grant requirements.
  • Adopt a strategic approach to identify data trends and propose enhancements in a dynamic environment.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions.
  • Provide telephone support as required.
  • Coordinate class launches and graduation ceremonies.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally, demonstrating a willingness to contribute to a cooperative work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Site Director.
QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in admissions within a nonprofit or educational setting is preferred.
  • Strong technical skills (Google Sheets/Excel, Slides/PowerPoint, Salesforce, etc.), along with project management and organizational abilities.
  • Excellent written communication, presentation, and customer service skills.
  • Proficient data management skills.
  • Experience with social media marketing is a plus.
  • A background in IT is beneficial, along with a desire to learn and a passion for technology.
COMPENSATION:

The target salary for this role is $60,000, with a salary range of $50,000 - $60,000. Salary may vary based on factors such as geographic location and alignment with qualifications and experience.
