Job Summary

As a Patient Service Representative at Prisma Health, you will play a vital role in the front office management and operation of our physician practice. Your responsibilities will include patient registration, pre-certification, charge capture, and accurate coding of diagnoses. You will also be responsible for posting payments, balancing computer reports, and maintaining accurate patient records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional patient service, ensuring a positive experience for all visitors.
  • Manage patient registration, pre-certification, and charge capture processes.
  • Accurately code diagnoses and procedures, ensuring compliance with ICD-9 and CPT coding standards.
  • Process payments, balance cash drawers, and prepare daily cash deposits.
  • Assist patients with insurance claims, disability insurance benefits, and other related matters.
  • Research and resolve patient billing complaints, working closely with other staff to achieve account resolution.
  • Participate in educational activities, gathering and verifying superbills, and entering charge and payment information.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with medical records policies.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in a technical specialty program preferred.
  • No previous experience required; multi-specialty group practice setting experience preferred.
