Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement best operational practices to achieve budgeted gross margins.
- Oversee Service Department spend, including labor, inventory, and fleet.
- Manage facilities, service training, inspections, maintenance, and repair to protect company assets.
- Ensure safety compliance, including employee training, safety tracking, and employee compliance assessments.
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure adherence to OSHA safety standards and promote a safety-conscious culture.
- Work with the Service team to complete functional requirements of the Health, Safety, and Environmental program.
- Maintain licensing, permitting, and code requirements compliance.
- Recruit, hire, terminate, discipline, schedule, and direct work assignments to maximize production.
- Evaluate workloads and personnel schedules to achieve profit and customer satisfaction objectives.
- Provide coaching, feedback, and ongoing technical and communication training to subordinates.
- Review service paperwork and ensure adherence to procedural standards.
- Conduct job site surveys, ride-alongs, and work evaluations.
- Assist with dispatching operations and ensure accurate documentation of dispatch, arrival, and completion times.
- Participate in company-sponsored training classes.
- Manage conflict resolution with clients through clear communication.
- Communicate with HR regarding hiring and manpower planning.
- Maintain a professional image and courteous demeanor with customers and associates.
- Maintain company vehicle cleanliness and organization.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate degree in a related field preferred.
- EPA and NATE certification required.
- Minimum 6 years of managerial, technical, and sales experience in HVAC or related field.
- Knowledge of residential and light commercial HVAC equipment and local codes and permitting requirements.
- Comprehensive knowledge of current HVAC products.
- Ability to understand economic, financial, and market conditions.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, presentation, and large group management skills.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
