Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced PACU Registered Nurse to join our team at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Sunnyvale. As a critical care nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Direct Patient Care

Independently perform the functions of a registered nurse in direct patient care, utilizing the nursing process to deliver developmentally appropriate care.

Collaborate with Healthcare Professionals

Work in collaboration with other healthcare professionals to provide a comprehensive plan of care to meet the patient/family needs.

Lead and Educate

Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience, lead projects with manageable risks and resource requirements, and provide education and facilitate learning for patients, families, and patient care team.

Advocate for Patients

Advocate for the patient, represent the concerns of the patient/family, and identify and assist in resolving ethical and clinical concerns.

Document Patient Encounters

Accurately and thoroughly document all patient encounters, ensuring that Patient Health Information (PHI) is protected and secured at all times.

Requirements
  • Education and Certifications

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, current State of Texas Registered Nurse license, and current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

Experience

Minimum 2 years Critical Care experience required.

Skills and Abilities

Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, and basic computer knowledge.

Work Environment
