Job Summary

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Sunnyvale is seeking a highly skilled and experienced PACU Registered Nurse to join our team. As a PACU Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a smooth transition from the operating room to the post-anesthesia care unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to patients recovering from surgery, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and performing various medical procedures.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop strategies to address any concerns or issues that arise.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote excellence in patient care.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Current State of Texas Registered Nurse license
  • Current AHA BLS Certification
  • Current AHA ACLS Certification
  • Current AHA PALS certification
  • Minimum 2 years Critical Care experience required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Academic degree in nursing (Bachelors or Master's degree)
  • Additional languages preferred
