Job Title: Legislative Policy and Project Manager

The State of Oregon is seeking an experienced Legislative Policy and Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a critical role in shaping and implementing transportation policy and projects that benefit Oregonians.

About the Role:

This is a unique opportunity to work on complex public policy projects at the state level, collaborating with stakeholders, elected officials, and other government agencies. You will be responsible for managing projects, conducting research, and developing policy recommendations that align with the state's transportation goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects with complex policy choices and multiple stakeholders
  • Conduct research, synthesize complex issues into clear work products
  • Develop and implement policy recommendations that align with state transportation goals
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, elected officials, and other government agencies
  • Track success of plans and quickly adjust to changes in priorities

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of professional-level analytical and planning work experience
  • Knowledge of project management best practices and process definitions
  • Experience with multi-modal transportation systems, including funding streams and tax policy
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
