Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Interaction: Ensure that all guests receive a warm welcome upon arrival and address any concerns or feedback to enhance their experience.
  • Staff Management: Lead the front office team by providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high standards of service.
  • Operational Oversight: Conduct regular inspections of the front desk and public areas, promptly addressing any issues that arise.
  • Financial Accountability: Verify billing instructions and ensure compliance with hotel policies regarding guest credit and transactions.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop initiatives to boost occupancy rates and revenue through effective upselling techniques.
  • Team Development: Mentor team members, setting performance goals and providing constructive feedback to foster professional growth.
  • Compliance Training: Ensure that all staff are trained in safety regulations and operational procedures to maintain a secure environment.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Serve as a key contact during emergencies, maintaining communication with local emergency services.
  • Budget Management: Assist in preparing the departmental budget and monitor expenses to align with financial goals.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in hospitality management, coupled with a minimum of four years in a related role, is essential. The Guest Services Supervisor will be instrumental in guiding the front office team and ensuring a seamless guest experience.
