Product Owner for Data and Analytics

MRO is seeking a highly skilled Product Owner for Data and Analytics to lead and execute initiatives on the product roadmap with a specific focus on data products, data management, and standardization across systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive the creation, execution, and monitoring of initiatives focused on data products and standardization within the product roadmap.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to understand and document workflows, perform gap analysis, and plan for product changes related to data management and standardization.
  • Collaborate with finance to ensure cost monitoring, financial projections, and KPI tracking for data initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain product specifications for technical development and operational execution, particularly around data integration, quality, and standardization efforts.
  • Manage documentation of epics, features, and user stories in Confluence, Jira, and other project management tools.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for data products, providing guidance during client presentations and internal discussions.
  • Interface with clients and internal teams to identify opportunities for data standardization, system integration improvements, and overall product enhancements.
  • Lead beta and pilot programs for new data products or features, ensuring they meet quality and performance standards.
  • Develop business cases and financial models to support investment requests and resource allocation, especially for data-driven initiatives.
  • Work with the sales and customer success teams to develop training materials and messaging that articulate the value of data products and standardization efforts.
  • Monitor and report on the status of product initiatives, ensuring deliverables are met on time and identifying areas for continuous improvement.
  • Drive data governance, ensuring that all data products align with industry standards and internal policies.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required, with a preference for degrees in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields. PMP or Agile certifications are a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in product development or management focused on data products, data integration, or standardization in healthcare or related industries.
  • Strong understanding of health data systems, including EMR, payer-provider data exchanges (e.g., gaps in care, care quality), and vendor integrations.
  • Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools like PowerBI, Tableau, etc.
  • Experience working in Agile environments with a focus on delivering data products through SCRUM or similar frameworks.
