About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team at Metro Paws Animal Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and concierge-style customer service to our clients.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, managing patient rooms, handling digital record-keeping, and performing various medical procedures. You will work closely with our veterinarians and receptionists to deliver top-notch veterinary experiences.

Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients and their pets
  • Manage patient rooms and maintain accurate digital records
  • Handle patient restraint and medication administration
  • Perform venipuncture, IVC placement, digital radiology, in-house and outbound cytology, blood work, dental prophylaxis, and peri-operative care
  • Assist with tech appointments, including vaccines, nail trims, AGE, ear cleaning, and suture removal
  • Answer phone calls and assist clients with scheduling appointments and pet health questions
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent required
  • At least 1 year of small animal tech experience
  • Working knowledge of veterinary terminology, supplies, and procedures
  • Current LVT License preferred

Salary Range

$55,000 - $65,000 per annum, based on location and experience
