Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital for a 13-week travel assignment. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work with patients in a home care setting, providing essential therapy services to help them recover and regain independence.

Responsibilities
  • Provide occupational therapy services to patients in a home care setting, focusing on their physical, emotional, and cognitive well-being.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and other therapists, to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify patients' strengths, weaknesses, and goals, and use this information to inform treatment decisions.
  • Utilize a variety of techniques, including exercises, activities, and adaptive equipment, to help patients achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.
  • Document patient progress, including treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, to ensure accurate and timely communication with healthcare teams.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or related field.
  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) in the state of practice.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities.
Work Environment

This is a travel assignment, and the Occupational Therapist will work in a home care setting, providing services to patients in their homes. The therapist will be responsible for traveling to patient locations, which may involve driving or using public transportation.
