Job Summary

Penn State University is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Post-Award Coordinator to join the Office of the Associate Dean for Graduate Education and Research in the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences. The successful candidate will be responsible for the administrative and financial management of all sponsored research awards for their designated college sub-units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Initial grant setup, including reviewing award documents and initiating grant account setup in the university financial system.
  • Budget initiation and modification, including identifying budget structures and creating budget spreadsheets and templates.
  • Subaward administration, including initiating subaward processes and monitoring expenditures for compliance.
  • Financial analysis and reporting, including monitoring award balances and preparing sponsor-format financial reports.
  • Compliance assessment and issue resolution, leveraging a broad understanding of university research policies and the federal Uniform Guidance.
  • Closeout actions, coordinating the completion of all administrative tasks and forms required to officially close completed awards and sub-awards.
Requirements

This position requires a Bachelor's Degree or higher and three or more years of experience in research administration or related positions. The successful candidate will join a highly respected team of pre-award and post-award professionals in a high-volume, fast-paced, innovative, and service-first environment.
