Job OverviewPOSITION OBJECTIVE

The role entails providing a wide range of financial services, including the initiation and closure of accounts, renewing time deposits, and assisting clients with inquiries, account management, and issue resolution. Additionally, in partnership with the Teller Supervisor, the position involves training and motivating lobby staff to enhance customer service and effectively promote bank products and services. A foundational understanding of basic deposit and loan offerings is essential. The individual will identify sales and referral opportunities and work towards achieving related objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensures proficient and professional execution of financial service tasks.

  • Demonstrates and clarifies Bank offerings to clients, addressing their financial requirements, which includes managing checking, savings, time deposit, and retirement accounts, as well as safe deposit boxes, savings bonds, credit cards, and basic consumer loans.
  • Addresses client inquiries and resolves issues by actively listening, gathering information, and providing solutions.
  • Analyzes client profiles to uncover sales prospects.
  • Utilizes lead lists and other techniques to create opportunities for business growth.

Maintains effective and professional client relationships.

  • Responds to client requests and inquiries promptly and courteously.
  • Processes new client accounts and modifications to existing accounts, including name changes, address updates, and product adjustments.
  • Safeguards the confidentiality of customer account information.
  • Upholds and enhances the Bank's professional image.

Facilitates collaboration and communication with team members and management.

  • Provides assistance to team members as necessary.
  • Keeps the Banking Center Manager updated on area activities and significant issues.
  • Accurately and promptly completes required reports and documentation.
  • Participates in meetings and training sessions as scheduled.
  • Oversees annual reporting and special projects relevant to the banking center.
  • Reviews new account entries for accuracy as needed.
  • Supports Treasury Management with client accounts and services.
  • Ensures daily logs are accurately maintained and organized for review.

Undertakes additional responsibilities as assigned.

  • Actively promotes Bank products and services, striving to meet sales targets.
  • Performs related administrative tasks as required.
  • Ensures that workspaces are clean, secure, and well-organized.

PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

Financial service functions are carried out efficiently and accurately, adhering to established policies and security protocols.
Strong business relationships are fostered with clients, ensuring their inquiries and issues are resolved with professionalism.
Effective collaboration and communication are maintained with team members and management, providing necessary support.
All reports and records are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
Continuous efforts are made to develop new client relationships while strengthening existing ones through the identification of sales opportunities.
The Bank's professional reputation is consistently upheld.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Certification:
High school diploma or equivalent.

Required Knowledge:
Comprehensive understanding of financial services and products offered.

Experience Required:
Prior customer service experience is preferred.
Experience as a Personal Banker is advantageous.
Previous banking experience is desirable.

Skills/Abilities:
Exceptional communication and public relations skills.
Professional demeanor and appearance.
Proficient in operating relevant computer applications and business equipment, including 10-key and telephone.
Strong mathematical and bookkeeping skills.
