Job Title: Geotechnical Project Manager

Kleinfelder is seeking a Geotechnical Project Manager to join our team in the Mid-Atlantic Region. This is a hybrid role, with 3 days in-office and 2 days working from home.

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Geotechnical Project Manager to lead our geotechnical projects in the Mid-Atlantic Region. The successful candidate will have a strong background in geotechnical engineering, excellent communication and project management skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with multidiscipline teams to prepare proposals and execute projects
  • Safely coordinate and execute field exploration programs, construction observation, and associated documentation
  • Complete engineering analysis including soil and rock classification, shallow and deep foundation capacity, immediate and consolidation settlement, slope stability analysis, geohazard evaluation, ground improvement, and earth retention systems
  • Partner with internal and external multidisciplinary teams during project development
  • Prepare Geotechnical Engineering reports
  • Prepare construction specifications and drawings
  • Be actively involved during the construction phase of projects
  • Positively interact with client representatives
  • Development of scope of work, project budgets, work breakdown structures, and schedules
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil/geotechnical engineering or geology
  • 8 to 10 years of geotechnical/geological engineering experience
  • Positive work attitude and ability to work safely and efficiently when managing multiple tasks
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
Working Knowledge:
  • MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Experience with geotechnical software packages including L-Pile, Uni-pile, SHAFT, gINT, GRL WEAP, GEO STUDIO, and FAD preferred
Preferred Skills/Experience:
  • Master's degree
  • PE and/or PG
  • Candidate within commuting distance of either any of these locations: Exton, PA; Cranberry, PA; or Bridgeport, WV
