About the Role

The Finance Leadership Development Program (FLDP) is designed to create a broad understanding of the Hilltop enterprise and act as an accelerator for career growth. As a Finance Leadership Development Analyst, you will have the opportunity to work on various projects, interact with senior leaders, and lead and support critical activities and projects across the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze and report on ongoing operations
  • Forecast financial and non-financial trends
  • Develop models and perform financial analysis
  • Work on the corporation's internal accounting functions
  • Support the development and monitoring of key controls across the organization
  • Provide guidance on accounting policy issues
  • Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Manage the Extensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) tagging process for financial statements and footnotes, ensuring accurate submission to the SEC
  • Develop processes and procedures for improving data inputs and assumptions
  • Protect operations by keeping financial information confidential
  • Prepare ad hoc analyses and perform other assignments as necessary
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
  • May 2025 Graduate Preferred, but not required
  • Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the latest version of Windows
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Proven self-starter who can initiate tasks and follow up to completion
  • Exceptional analytical skills; above average attention to detail
  • Desire to learn about career opportunities in the Finance/Accounting/Tax areas and/or financial services industry
