Key Responsibilities

Express is in search of a Retail Sales Leader to enhance our team.


The Retail Sales Leader is responsible for delivering an exceptional in-store shopping experience for our customers while executing essential opening and closing tasks.


Core Duties Include:

1. Conducting opening and closing operations, including balancing cash registers, preparing deposits, and activating security systems.
2. Performing overrides at the point of sale as necessary.
3. Ensuring a clean and organized sales floor, checkout area, fitting rooms, and stockroom to create a safe and welcoming environment for customers.
4. Adhering to company policies and procedures to maintain the safety of all associates and customers.
5. Assisting with product launches in accordance with company standard operating procedures.
6. Upholding all aspects of the customer experience model.
7. Processing transactions efficiently and accurately to minimize customer wait times.
8. Effectively resolving customer service issues as they arise, determining appropriate resolutions or escalating as needed, while communicating all matters to Store Management.
9. Promoting credit and loyalty programs by explaining their benefits and encouraging customer participation.
10. Performing other essential functions as directed by your supervisor.

Required Qualifications

Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent

Experience:
0-2 years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 6 months in a similar role.
Proficient in technology usage (iPad, registers).
Availability to meet defined criteria, including evenings, weekends, and non-business hours.
Ability to meet physical requirements.

Essential Skills & Attributes

- Previous retail experience is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly with customers and team members.
- Proven ability to collaborate and work effectively within a team environment.
