Job Description

As a Commercial Lines Account Executive at Gregory & Appel Insurance, you will play a crucial role in helping organizations and individuals protect their assets through tailored risk management strategies. Your primary responsibility will be to work alongside producers and account managers to identify, design, and implement placement strategies for clients, encompassing new products and services, target markets, and tailored coverages.

You will provide technical support to producers, assisting clients and reaching agency business goals. This includes preparing accurate proposals, coordinating the layout of proposals and presentations according to agency standards, and following up and negotiating quotes with carriers. You will also rate new policies, complete applications, and other required documentation, as well as maintain knowledge of developments or changes with carriers and new federal/state laws that affect how clients conduct business.

Additional responsibilities include representing the agency in coordination with producers in handling complaints, arbitrating disputes, or resolving grievances, and developing and maintaining a positive relationship and rapport with each insurance carrier to satisfy our clients' needs and facilitate the processing of business. You will also set priorities and manage work flow to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate processing of transactions and other responsibilities.

Requirements for this role include 4-6 years of experience as a Senior Account Manager or Underwriter, a P&C License, and a willingness to pursue continuing education. You must also have good organizational, verbal, and written communication skills, as well as the ability to maintain a positive attitude, express enthusiasm, and be flexible. A professional, helpful, and courteous demeanor with clients, carrier personnel, and agency personnel is also essential.
