Job Opportunity

National Spine & Pain Centers is seeking a highly skilled Surgical First Assistant to join our team at our surgery center in Lady Lake, FL.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the surgeon during surgical procedures with a high degree of efficiency, anticipating the surgeon's and patient's needs during the case.
  • Ensure the availability of adequate supplies, equipment, and instruments for scheduled cases and assist in opening cases in a sterile manner.
  • Utilize physician preference cards to set up each case; updating cards when indicated.
  • Assist with patient positioning, skin prep, and draping.
  • Ensure accurate sponge, needle, and instrument counts are completed when indicated.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program and completion of Certified Surgical Assisting Program.
  • Certification as a First Assistant Preferred.
  • Minimum four years' experience as a Surgical Technologist prior to Surgical FA.
  • Current BLS.
  • The capacity to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment, while demonstrating resourcefulness and proactivity.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without requiring authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
