SIMEDHealth is seeking a PRN Medical Assistant to join our team in Ocala and Lady Lake, FL locations. As a PRN Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinical day.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patient electronic medical records to ensure accurate documentation.
  • Room patients, obtain vital signs, and document in the chart or EHR.
  • Coordinate medical refill requests between patients and physicians.
  • Administer medications as ordered by providers.
  • Assist with patient procedures, such as EKGs, spirometry testing, and wound care.
  • Triage and screen patient calls, and assist with patient inquiries.
  • Assist with patient referrals and authorizations for surgical procedures.
Requirements:
  • BLS/CPR certification is required.
  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting, EMT, LPN, or similar program is preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience with an electronic health record is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a private medical office or hospital setting is preferred.
