POSITION SUMMARY

Meadow Gold Dairy is seeking experienced Refrigeration Technicians to oversee the upkeep and functionality of all production and property machinery. This role is crucial for ensuring the seamless operation of equipment across electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration systems.

COMPENSATION:

  • Up to $35.00/hr based on experience

WORK SCHEDULE:

  • Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 4 PM

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct maintenance and preventative measures on ammonia refrigeration systems
  • Document maintenance activities accurately and promptly
  • Monitor and evaluate system performance using gauges and instruments
  • Disassemble, assemble, and install refrigeration machinery
  • Communicate effectively with other departments and management regarding production efficiency
  • Ensure thorough documentation of repairs and maintenance in compliance with standard operating procedures
  • Assist in managing inventory of parts and supplies by notifying supervisors of low stock
  • Support operators with training and troubleshooting to reduce equipment downtime
  • Stay informed about advancements in products, equipment, and techniques
  • Utilize a continuous improvement approach to identify process enhancement opportunities
  • Anticipate parts needs for tasks and follow proper procurement procedures
  • Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to all health and safety regulations
  • Follow all good manufacturing practices (GMP) and corporate standards for food safety and quality
  • Other duties may be assigned as necessary

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems
  • Expertise in PLC, VFD, and Controls
  • Ability to perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
  • Freon refrigeration license or equivalent experience, where applicable
  • Capability to inspect equipment and identify potential issues
  • Proficient in using various maintenance tools
  • Ability to work independently on maintenance tasks and assist with complex repairs
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Basic computer proficiency
