Job Summary

Jobot is seeking a highly skilled Employment Litigation Attorney to join our dynamic and supportive law firm. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of employment-related disputes and litigation matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent Clients in Employment Litigation: Handle all aspects of employment litigation, including wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour disputes, and employment contract disputes.
  • Conduct Legal Research and Analysis: Prepare compelling legal arguments and strategies through thorough legal research and analysis.
  • Draft Legal Documents: Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents to support your clients' cases.
  • Manage Discovery: Oversee discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests, conducting depositions, and preparing witnesses.
  • Negotiate Settlements: Negotiate settlements and participate in alternative dispute resolution proceedings to resolve cases efficiently.
  • Provide Strategic Advice: Offer strategic advice and counsel to clients on employment law matters, ensuring they are well-informed and prepared for any situation.
  • Stay Current with Employment Laws: Stay up-to-date with changes in employment laws and regulations affecting clients, providing expert guidance and support.
Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) Degree: Hold a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • State Bar Admission: Be admitted to a state bar with active and good standing status (NY, TX, CA, or NJ).
  • Employment Law Experience: Have a minimum of 3 years of experience practicing employment law, with a focus on litigation.
  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrate a proven track record of successfully managing employment litigation matters from inception to resolution.
  • Strong Analytical Skills: Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively handle complex employment law cases.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to Work Independently: Demonstrate the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience Representing Plaintiffs and Defendants: Have experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in employment litigation.
  • Familiarity with Federal Employment Laws: Be familiar with federal employment laws (e.g., Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FMLA) and New Jersey employment statutes.
  • Alternative Dispute Resolution Experience: Have prior experience in alternative dispute resolution methods, such as mediation and arbitration.
