Job Title: Patient Access Representative - Walk In Clinic

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Representative to join our team at PeaceHealth. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless patient access to our services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate patient scheduling, insurance verification, and pre-certification to ensure accurate and timely access to care.
  • Act as a clinical liaison with physician practices, interacting with pre-visit services to ensure smooth patient flow.
  • Collect patient balances, co-payments, co-insurance, or other payment types, and verify coverage to ensure all insurance requirements are met.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
  • Assist with departmental coverage as needed, and manage daily appointment schedules, including reminder calls and referrals.
  • Transport patients using escort or wheeled transport equipment, and manage ED incoming phone calls and switchboard coverage.
  • Monitor the OB Prosec/McKinley alarm system, and assist with Cardiac Rehab departmental charge entry.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 1 year of medical office or related customer service experience.
  • Strong background in customer service, with excellent time management skills and the ability to manage conflict effectively.
  • Good customer service skills and good interpersonal skills.
