Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Residential Driver to join our team at Waste Pro. As a Residential Driver, you will be responsible for operating a refuse collection vehicle on pre-assigned routes to collect garbage, yard waste, and recycling. You will also be responsible for providing excellent customer service, ensuring that all refuse is collected and transferred properly, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Refuse Collection Vehicle: Safely drive a front-end, side, rear-end, or roll off loading refuse truck on pre-established routes in accordance with defensive driving principles.
  • Collect and Dump Refuse: Collect and dump garbage and refuse into refuse trucks while covering a designated route in a residential zone.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service: Provide a Distinguishably Different level of service through courteous and expeditious customer service in all aspects of refuse operation to the general public and customers.
  • Maintain a Clean and Safe Working Environment: Perform daily pre and post-trip inspections, complete safety lane activity and DVIR daily, and maintain a clean truck and wash the exterior weekly.
  • Perform Manual Duties: Perform a variety of manual duties in the clean-up of scattered refuse, move and empty large trash bins using truck hydraulics, and prepare, maintain, and submit required company and regulation-mandated reports and documents.
Requirements
  • CDL License: Must have a Class A or B CDL valid for the state in which the position works.
  • Age: Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
  • Physical Abilities: Physically able to push or pull independently (unassisted) 50 pounds between 800 and 1000 times a day, lift independently (unassisted) 50 pounds from the ground to waist height between 800 and 1000 times a day, get up and down from the cab of a commercial motor vehicle between 800 and 1000 times a day, bend at the waist and knees between 800 and 1000 times a day, and work 8 to 12 hours in extreme weather conditions.
Working Environment

Works in a variety of environment conditions, including wide temperature and weather variations, including heat, cold, snow, rain, wind, noise and vibrations, fumes, odors, and dust.
