Job Summary:The Employee Benefits Producer's primary responsibility is to develop relationships and secure employee benefits consulting/brokerage clients for the Graham Company, a division of Marsh & McLennan Agency.
The Producer will work closely with Account Managers and service team members on the renewal of existing accounts.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop quality accounts that meet Graham Company revenue criteria and client profile.
- Prepare assessment and strategy recommendations for new business.
- Perform analysis and market accounts in the first year.
- Implement and open enroll new accounts in the first year.
- Work with Account Managers to supervise renewals.
- Develop and maintain account relationships.
- Assist in unusual client service situations.
- Collect premiums and income on accounts.
- Provide additional services as requested by the Graham Company.
- Pursue personal and professional development.
- College degree preferred.
- At least eight years of business experience, with the last four years in employee benefits brokerage sales or group product sales.
- In-depth knowledge of employee welfare benefits, including HMOs, PPOs, self-insured, level-funded, and consumer-directed health plans.
- High level of organizational ability.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion.
- Maintain a valid driver's license or alternate efficient and effective means to visit clients.
- Demonstrated sales skills.
- High degree of self-discipline and motivation.
- High degree of intelligence with excellent verbal and written communication skills, math skills, and comfort working with personal computers.
- Holds required and appropriate insurance agent's license.
- Professional demeanor.
- Proficient in Graham standard computer applications.
- Ability to function in a true team-oriented environment.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Ability to fulfill all job requirements during and outside of usual business hours.
