Maintenance Lead Job Description

At ADM, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Lead to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute maintenance plans according to the work schedule, prioritizing shift work and assigning resources effectively.
  • Ensure the safety of all personnel through compliance with occupational safety and health regulations and demonstrate safety leadership.
  • Recognize and address environmental, safety, and GMP hazards, taking actions to eliminate them and ensure employee safety, product quality, and environmental purity.
  • Address employee concerns, maintain good communications, and morale on shift and within the department.
  • Work with employees to develop a high level of job proficiency, analyze maintenance performance, and improve efficiencies.
  • Provide positive reinforcement and maintain discipline within the department, documenting unusual or unacceptable behaviors.
  • Responsible for the development of maintenance employees, proactively engaging in their development and training.
  • Collaborate with other facility management to utilize equipment to improve employee safety, production quality, equipment reliability, and overall equipment effectiveness.
  • Remain current with latest and emerging industry regulations and codes relative to mechanical and electrical systems design and operation.
  • Ensure corporate policies and standards are followed in the execution of daily maintenance activities.
  • Manage and analyze preventive maintenance schedules, inspections, and repairs to minimize downtime.

Requirements:

  • 5 years minimum as a mechanic or other technical tradesman.
  • 2-3 years experience leading a team.
  • Troubleshooting experience.
  • Able to read technical manuals/blueprints.
  • Understanding of GMP.
  • Good people skills.
  • Mechanical, electrical, pipefitting, rigging.
  • Job Hazard Analysis and safety compliance.
  • Computer proficiency (Microsoft office, email, etc.).
  • Excellent Verbal and Written Communication skills.
  • Report writing.
  • Ability to train others.
  • Ability to work any shift, weekends, holidays to support 24/7 operation.
