Astrolab is leading the charge in planetary surface exploration, and we're seeking a highly skilled Lunar Rover CAD Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating detailed engineering drawings and CAD models using Siemens NX, ensuring compliance with GD&T standards.

Job Overview

As a key member of our engineering design team, you will work collaboratively with our team to understand the mechanical needs of our lunar rover. You will be responsible for creating and developing detailed engineering drawings that bring our rover from concept to reality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create detailed engineering drawings using Siemens NX, ensuring compliance with GD&T standards
  • Identify, propose, and lead design specifications while working with the engineering team to ensure alignment with project requirements
  • Develop and document design requirements from various internal stakeholders, including the vehicle engineering, test, and integration teams
  • Coordinate and manage design modifications related to parts, production changes, and any necessary revisions
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to identify and solve design-related challenges, contributing to continuous design improvements

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in aerospace or automotive design, with a strong background in Siemens NX and GD&T. A Bachelor's degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering is also required.
