Job Summary

The VETERANS HEALTH ADMINISTRATION is seeking a skilled Motor Vehicle Operator to join our team. As a Motor Vehicle Operator, you will be responsible for operating a variety of vehicles, including box trucks, to transport clean and soiled linens between VA facilities in the New England region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Deliver clean linens to VA facilities, ensuring that patients have access to clean and comfortable bedding.
  • Pick up soiled linens from VA facilities, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Perform pre-trip inspections on vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Keep accurate records of trips, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any issues encountered.
Requirements
  • Valid CDL (Class D) license.
  • Safe driving record.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, including linens and equipment.
Working Conditions

The Motor Vehicle Operator will work in a fast-paced environment, operating vehicles in various weather conditions and traffic situations. The position requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and customer service skills.
