We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Service Technician to join our team at BEST ONE TIRE & SERVICE. As a Commercial Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on commercial vehicles, ensuring they are in top working condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect vehicles using commercial inspection forms and report potential repairs to supervisor
  • Perform basic commercial maintenance and repair, including oil changes, lubricating machinery and equipment, filter and fluid inspection and replacement, and other light mechanical items and repairs
  • Align front ends and suspension systems, using alignment equipment and balancing machines
  • Perform brake, shock, strut, suspension and other mechanical repairs and parts replacements
  • Examine and adjust protective guards, loose bolts, and safety devices
  • Rewire ignition systems, lights, and instrument panels
  • Drive service truck to customer locations and requested road service calls
  • Test drive commercial vehicles to diagnose malfunctions and ensure proper operating condition
  • Raise and lower vehicles safely, with hydraulic or floor jacks
  • Safely operate all shop machinery, including but not limited to safety cage, spreader, balancer, floor jacks or lifts, air powered tools, torque wrench and/or torque sticks
  • Operate and maintain diagnostic equipment
  • Safely operate all service truck machinery, including but not limited to all shop machinery, boom and hook
  • Read work orders thoroughly and perform all listed tasks
  • Perform general housekeeping duties

Physical Demands / Work Environment

  • Environment: Work in an environment that is not climate controlled. Temperatures range from extremely hot to extremely cold, depending on the season

  • Sense of sound (Alarms, horns, and motorized equipment)
  • PPE: Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (Safety Glasses, gloves, safety harnesses, steel reinforced footwear)
