Safety Manager I

The Safety Manager is responsible for ensuring the safety of employees at client sites. This includes implementing HSE training, behavior-based safety programs, risk analysis, and HSE procedures in a hard and soft services environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing a comprehensive HSE management system to promote a safe and healthy workplace.
- Conducting site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA and other state and federal standards.
- Managing accident prevention and reducing the risk of injury.
- Providing training and education to employees on HSE policies and procedures.
- Collaborating with subcontractors and Compass personnel to ensure compliance with safety and workers' compensation procedures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- BCSP certifications preferred.
- Safety Trained Supervisor preferred.
- CPR/First Aid/AED certification preferred.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- JHA/JSA/Permit to Work experience.
- Background in accident prevention.
- Experience in implementing occupational health and safety programs.
- Experience conducting investigations and evaluations.
- Experience interpreting and applying laws, rules, and regulations.
