Job Summary

The Safety Manager is responsible for ensuring the safety of employees at client sites. This includes implementing HSE training, behavior-based safety programs, risk analysis, and HSE procedures in a hard and soft services environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive HSE management system to promote a safe and healthy workplace.
  • Conducting site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA and other state and federal standards.
  • Managing accident prevention and reducing the risk of injury.
  • Providing training and education to employees on HSE policies and procedures.
  • Collaborating with subcontractors and Compass personnel to ensure compliance with safety and workers' compensation procedures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • BCSP certifications preferred.
  • Safety Trained Supervisor preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid/AED certification preferred.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • JHA/JSA/Permit to Work experience.
  • Background in accident prevention.
  • Experience in implementing occupational health and safety programs.
  • Experience conducting investigations and evaluations.
  • Experience interpreting and applying laws, rules, and regulations.
