About the Position

Brown Emergency Medicine is currently looking for a full-time Emergency Medicine Advanced Practice Trainee (EMAT) who is either a Nurse Practitioner or a Physician Assistant. This 12-month post-graduate training program is designed to support a comprehensive emergency medicine program, providing up-to-date, problem-based learning in a state-of-the-art facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete clinical rotations at various emergency departments, working with appointed faculty members.
  • Participate in procedure workshops and lectures provided by senior physicians and appointed faculty.
  • Develop skills in critical care, trauma, psychiatry, and other areas of emergency medicine.

Requirements:

  • Certificate from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Program.
  • Official Transcripts.
  • Current NCCPA or AANP certification.
  • Rhode Island State licensure/eligible.
  • Personal Statement.
  • GPA of 3.1 or greater.
  • Curriculum Vitae.
  • Personal Interview.
  • Three letters of recommendation.
