Crisis Bed Mental Health Technician Role
We are seeking a dedicated and committed Mental Health Technician to join our team in Lewes, DE. As a Mental Health Technician, you will provide direct client care duties and unit support functions to children and adolescents with a wide variety of psychological and emotional problems.
Responsibilities- Monitor clients and complete observation rounds using required safety protocols
- Implement person-centered plans, assist individuals in meeting outcomes, and provide applicable supports
- Deliver solution-focused and trauma-informed interventions to maintain safety and build skills
- Create a therapeutic and safe unit environment to achieve high patient satisfaction
- Plan and deliver group therapeutic activities for clients
- Use critical thinking and risk management skills when interacting with clients in crisis
- Maintain professional, trauma-informed interactions during interactions with children, families, and stakeholders
- Develop comprehensive skills providing support for children and youth in Crisis Bed
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
- Experience working in an inpatient or residential/group home setting (preferred)
This role involves physical interventions, including potential use of holds, and may require lifting, carrying, and assisting clients as needed. You must be physically capable of responding to challenging situations safely and effectively.
Frequent walking, standing, twisting, bending, and squatting are required.

Salary InformationThe estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
