Job Description:

The Crisis Bed Shift Supervisor is responsible for providing oversight of the Crisis Bed Program service space during their assigned shift. This role involves direct client care duties and unit support functions to ensure the safety and well-being of clients in a Crisis Bed setting.

Essential Functions:

This position entails the following responsibilities:

  • Completing initial assessments and documentation, including consent for treatment, for clients upon admission to the Crisis Bed
  • Assisting in the admission process, including obtaining vital signs, safety searches of patients and personal belongings, and orienting new patients to the unit and their program
  • Implementing person-centered plans as identified, assisting each individual in meeting the outcomes identified in the approved plan, and ensuring applicable supports are provided for each client
  • Delivering solution-focused and trauma-informed interventions to maintain safety, build skills, and address problem-solving, communication, and relationship conflicts
  • Creating an engaging unit milieu to maintain a therapeutic and safe environment with a goal to achieve high patient satisfaction
  • Using critical thinking and risk management skills when connecting with clients in Crisis Bed
  • Understanding warning signs and risk factors associated with suicide risk and risk of harm to others
  • Maintaining professional, trauma-informed, and empathetic interactions during interactions with children, families, and stakeholders
  • Developing comprehensive skills providing support for children and youth in Crisis Bed
Functional Role in Crisis Bed Setting:

This position also involves:

  • Providing leadership, coaching, and supervision for all staff on assigned shifts
  • Monitoring the administrative needs of assigned shifts, including utilization and capacity management, supplies, meals, and maintenance requirements
  • Working respectfully and cooperatively together as a unified team member in a professional manner with other Crisis Bed staff, families, and community members
  • Assuming responsibility for professional development of self and contributing to and assisting with the professional development of others
  • Ensuring Incident Reports are initiated, completed, reviewed, and submitted according to policy
Estimated Salary:

$55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited school in social work, psychology, or a related Social or Human Services field
