As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will play a vital role in supporting the health and well-being of our patients across various units within the healthcare facility.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly adaptable and compassionate CNA to join our Float Pool team. The ideal candidate will provide essential care to patients, adapting to different environments and patient needs with professionalism and ease. This position requires a flexible individual who can quickly acclimate to new settings and work effectively as part of a dynamic team under the supervision and direction of a Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct care to patients in accordance with their individualized care plans
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, oral care, dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Assist in transportation and transfer of patients, ensuring comfort and safety during movement
  • Monitor and record vital signs, intake and output, and other patient data, reporting any abnormalities or concerns to nursing team
  • Accuchecks completed as directed
  • Accurate and prompt documentation
  • Assist with patient hygiene and comfort measures, including turning and repositioning patients to prevent pressure ulcers
  • Support patients with feeding and hydration needs, adhering to dietary restrictions and assisting with mealtime activities
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care and promote positive patient outcomes
  • Completes hourly rounds to assigned patients and anticipates patient needs. Responding promptly to call lights and patient requests
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families, demonstrating empathy and compassion in all interactions
  • Maintain a clean and organized patient environment, including changing bed linens, stocking supplies, and ensuring cleanliness of patient rooms
  • Adhere to infection control protocols and hospital policies and procedures to maintain a safe and sanitary environment for patients and staff

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Salary: $18.25 per hour
