Wall Residences Inc is seeking full-time Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to provide essential services in the Roanoke and Salem, Virginia area. Training to become an RBT will be provided for those who are not yet certified. Our mission is to empower children with Autism to lead meaningful and independent lives.

As an RBT, you will collaborate closely with clients in various settings, including clinics, homes, and community environments, delivering high-quality, intensive ABA interventions under the guidance of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) who tailor each client’s treatment plan. At Wall Residences, we prioritize ethical, individualized care and foster an authentic workplace where team collaboration is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement personalized behavioral therapy programs using ABA strategies to enhance social-communicative skills and daily living abilities while minimizing challenging behaviors.
  • Document progress, gather data, and maintain client records under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor (BCBA).
  • Observe and assess client skills, collecting data as directed by the Clinical Supervisor to inform goal setting.
  • Develop program materials as required, following the Clinical Supervisor's instructions.
  • Assist in modifying client programs as directed by the Clinical Supervisor.
  • Engage in weekly supervision and team meetings with the Clinical Supervisor.
  • Support and educate parents and caregivers on behavior management techniques to facilitate skill generalization.
  • Work collaboratively with the clinical team to achieve client objectives and ensure effective communication with clients and their families.
  • Participate in progress and Individualized Service Plan (ISP) review meetings with the clinical team and family members.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of billable tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with diverse populations across various backgrounds.
  • Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capability to follow directions and work independently.
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion in all work-related matters.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment and decision-making abilities.
  • Possess reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client locations.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends based on client needs.
  • Comfortable working with children exhibiting challenging behaviors.

Requirements

  • Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Must hold a current registered behavior technician credential or complete a 40-hour training course, competency assessment, and exam to obtain certification within six months of employment.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check is mandatory.
