Position Summary:

Core Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement personalized education plans (PEPs) that address the unique needs of each student.
  • Adapt standard curriculum materials to ensure accessibility for students with varying abilities.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, making necessary adjustments to instructional methods.
  • Engage with parents, fellow educators, and specialists to create a supportive network for student development.
  • Utilize diverse teaching strategies and resources to accommodate different learning preferences.
  • Maintain comprehensive student documentation and prepare necessary reports in compliance with educational regulations.
  • Foster a welcoming and engaging classroom atmosphere that encourages active participation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related discipline.
  • Valid state certification in Special Education.
  • Experience working with students with disabilities is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of special education laws and various disabilities.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.
  • Capacity to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
