Del Sol Medical Center is seeking a skilled CT Technician to join our team. As a CT Technician, you will be responsible for operating Cat Scan equipment, positioning patients, and performing related duties to produce high-quality diagnostic radiographs.
Key Responsibilities- Operate C.T. equipment to make radiographic scans of designated portions of the body, adjusting equipment and patient positioning as needed.
- Perform reconstruction and special processing of data, evaluating completed radiographs/scans for positioning, technique, and adequacy of examination.
- Closely observe patients, perform first aid as necessary, and confer with physicians when requested exams appear at odds with the patient's condition.
- Perform a variety of clerical tasks, including pulling jackets, inputting/editing exams, and completing requisitions prior to setting films to be read.
- Record and maintain data on magnetic disc, tape, PACS, and logs, ensuring correct identification of film, including side and radiological factors.
- ARRT (R) certification
- Texas Medical Board certification as Medical Radiologic Technologist
- Current CPR certification
- ARRT (CT) Credential (must acquire within 1 year)
- Comprehensive knowledge of anatomy, positioning, radiographic techniques, and radiation protection concepts and techniques.
- Knowledge of radiographic physics, medical terminology, and ability to determine exposure factors to achieve optimum radiographic images with a minimum exposure to patients.
- Ability to examine radiographs for the purpose of evaluation techniques, positions, and other related qualities, and to exercise discretion and good judgment with patients during radiographic procedures.
