About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Clorox. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and upgrading plant production and processing equipment to ensure maximum safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor, diagnose, and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment to maintain and improve the proper, safe, and efficient functionality of production assets.
  • Perform preventative, corrective, predictive, and breakdown maintenance on production and facilities equipment.
  • Use problem-solving tools to identify root causes for repetitive breakdowns or other losses and address key issues while educating peers on problems and solutions.
  • Develop One Point Lessons and Job Aids to instruct Line Operators on the operation and setup of production equipment.
  • Participate in, lead, and/or develop initiatives related to energy conservation, Continuous Improvement, Work Orders, and SAP.
  • Discipline on the process of spare parts ordering, removal, organization, and minimum quantities requests.
  • Support the development of center lines and CIL to Operations.
  • Improve safety and efficiency of production equipment.
  • Specialize in problem-solving electrical and mechanical issues as they occur on production equipment.
  • Ensure OSHA compliance of assigned machinery and equipment concerning use and maintenance.
  • Perform daily clean-up and organization of common maintenance areas, including tools and supplies.
  • Maintain excellent team working relationships.
  • Observe problems with equipment and alert the BUL/Maintenance Manager immediately.
  • Alert the BUL/Maintenance Manager immediately if there are any safety concerns or issues.
  • Adhere to all GMP requirements.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience of very strong mechanical ability is required.
  • Ability to understand interaction of equipment systems and diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic problems.
  • Basic knowledge of PLC logic and electrical problem-solving.
  • Basic knowledge of metal fabrication (machine shop work).
  • Knowledge of basic plumbing and water line repair.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in the use, maintenance, and care of tools, equipment, and machinery.
  • Interpret data, identify problems, and formulate proper decisions.
  • Ability to understand interaction of equipment and systems, and diagnose and repair electrical problems.
  • Express ideas clearly (verbal and written) and ability to work from verbal and written instructions, manuals, wiring diagrams, work orders, and specifications.
  • Ability to generate and analyze reports, charts, and KPIs dealing with addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
