Job Summary

Inova Health System is seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team at Fairfax Medical Center.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide safe and effective care to patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures.
  • Collaborate with physicians to prepare and maintain a sterile field, select and prepare instruments and supplies, and administer medications as directed.
  • Operate and troubleshoot a wide range of equipment and instruments, including cardiac catheters and guidewires.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities to ensure optimal patient care and outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Certification in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support.
  • Registration in one of the following: RCIS, RTR VI, RTR CV, RTR CI, or equivalent.
  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
  • One year of experience in interventional Cardiac Cath Lab or Electrophysiology Lab, or equivalent experience as a nurse in a critical care hospital unit.
  • Associate Degree in Nursing or equivalent education and experience.
