Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technologist

Inova Health System is seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team at our Fairfax Medical Campus.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in radiologic technology, with a focus on cardiovascular and interventional radiology. This role will involve working closely with our team to provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the success of our Arrhythmia Services unit.

Responsibilities:
  • Utilize Inova Health System's inventory management systems effectively.
  • Assist RNs in explaining procedures to patients and families to ease anxiety.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and place service calls to Biomedical when necessary.
  • Anticipate procedure flow and work with other team members to produce high-quality care.
  • Provide a safe environment and identify hazards immediately, following unit protocols to take corrective actions as needed.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in imaging modalities in Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology, including digital, laser printing, and cut film.
Requirements:
  • Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) and American Registered Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registry in Vascular Interventional (VI), Cardiovascular (CV) or Cardiovascular Interventional (CI).
  • Licensure: Licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Radiologic Technologist, if the position is located in a free-standing center not affiliated with an Inova Health System Hospital.
  • Experience: One year of work experience as a Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology Technologist.
  • Education: Vocational/Technical in the area of study in Radiologic Technology, Graduate of an accredited school of Radiography, Associate or higher degree preferred.
