Job Summary:

The Patient Care Tech (PCT) provides direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. This role requires a high school graduate or equivalent with one year of experience preferred. Previous experience as a Unit Clerk or Secretary is also preferred. The ideal candidate will have CNA Certification, be currently enrolled in an RN nursing program, or have equivalent certifications such as EMT/Paramedic. Additionally, the candidate should have basic life support (BLS) certification and computer skills with Word and Excel.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling and data entry
Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care
Develop and maintain strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare staff
Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and industry developments

Requirements:

High School Graduate or equivalent
One year of experience preferred
Previous experience as a Unit Clerk or Secretary preferred
CNA Certification, current enrollment in RN nursing program, or equivalent (EMT/Paramedic certification) required
BLS required
Computer skills with Word, Excel
