This role requires a significant amount of time building relationships and speaking with business owners in the private and public markets. The successful candidate will drive these relationships forward through strategic outreach, conferences, and be responsible for bringing new acquisition opportunities to the table. The candidate will also be responsible for basic financial analysis, deal qualifying, and getting deals to a term sheet. This role will come with a lot of autonomy and responsibility early on.
Key Responsibilities:- Identifying and engaging with C-Level executives at businesses
- Managing our database and cultivated relationships
- Qualifying and analyzing deals based on JJ Astor investment criteria
- Working with the underwriting team to win deals and carry them through the diligence process
- Attending industry events and conferences
- Working with the investing and senior management team to evaluate and execute deals
- 3-6 years of experience in a business development role
- Desire to work in a fast-paced sales environment
- BA degree
- Strong interest in business development, capital markets, and private equity
- Strong communication skills and ability to communicate with senior management
