Position Overview

The Patient Account Specialist plays a crucial role in engaging with patients through phone communication to facilitate the collection of payments for medical services rendered on behalf of our clients. This position requires adeptness in a dynamic call center setting, where establishing contact with customers is essential for negotiating payments and arranging payment plans for outstanding account receivables.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver outstanding service to patients in alignment with client expectations.
  • Initiate telephone outreach to patients for the purpose of collecting payments on medical invoices.
  • Convey precise information to patients in a clear, concise, and professional manner.
  • Examine patient accounts and document interactions and feedback accurately.
  • Engage in negotiations to establish fair and reasonable payment terms with customers.
  • Facilitate patient payments through various methods including checks, electronic transfers, or credit cards.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of and adherence to all relevant policies and procedures.
  • Achieve or surpass established performance targets.
  • Collaborate closely with team leaders, management, and clients to address disputes and enhance patient satisfaction.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Education and Experience

  • One to two years of college education is preferred.
