Position Overview:

The role involves the application of systems engineering methodologies across various phases of the systems life cycle, including Concept, Development, Production, Utilization, Support, and Retirement. The incumbent will engage with stakeholders regarding technical considerations and address associated challenges or conflicts. This position requires effective communication with program personnel, government representatives, and senior management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of deliverables across multiple process areas defined by ISO/IEC 15288.
  • Conduct systems engineering activities and contribute to the creation of work products in Technical Process Areas aligned with ISO/IEC standards.
  • Analyze technical alternatives for projects and provide preliminary recommendations.
  • Support systems engineering tasks in Agreement or Enterprise Process Areas.
  • Develop and deliver work products across various ISO/IEC 15288 Process Areas.
  • Independently evaluate and recommend alternatives for project technical designs.
  • Assist in the development of innovative solutions to technical challenges.
  • Conduct evaluations to assess project implementation suitability.
  • Propose appropriate engineering standards and processes for projects.
  • Supervise or coordinate the efforts of other engineers or technicians on projects.
  • Lead systems engineering activities, overseeing project engineering staff and technicians.
  • Make informed decisions regarding engineering methodologies and issues.
  • Provide briefings to stakeholders on the technical status of projects.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in designated Process Areas.
  • Plan and manage engineering projects with unique or complex requirements impacting critical enterprise capabilities.
