Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse

Atrium Health Charlotte is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) team. As a Registered Nurse in this unit, you will provide exceptional care to critically ill pediatric patients with cardiovascular conditions.
About the Role- Provide direct patient care to pediatric patients with cardiovascular conditions, including pre-op and post-surgical repair of congenital heart defects, heart transplant, ventricular assist devices, acquired heart disease, ECMO, CRRT, and other complex conditions.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that promote optimal patient outcomes.
- Monitor patients' vital signs, administer medications, and perform various medical procedures as needed.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Current RN license in the state of North Carolina or eligible for licensure.
- At least 6 months of RN experience in a pediatric or cardiovascular ICU setting.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to work variable shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
