We are seeking an experienced Accounting Professional to join our FDH Hardware division as an AP Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounting duties, including preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, preparing tax returns, assisting with audit preparations, and completing other assigned tasks on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts, addressing their inquiries and concerns in a timely manner
  • Ensure the accurate and timely payment of invoices in a high-volume environment
  • Daily processing of A/P invoices using system matching and batch processing
  • Monthly statement reconciliation for all assigned vendors
  • Special projects and analysis
  • Prepare month-end accruals
  • Create and update spreadsheet schedules
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field (High School Diploma required)
  • Minimum 3 years of Accounts Payable experience
  • 3+ years Accounts Payable expense processing experience
  • Experience with 3-way match systems is essential
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong customer service relationships
  • Prior experience with QuickBooks or other accounting software packages is a plus
  • Must be punctual and dependable
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook is required
  • Ability to prioritize projects frequently
  • Strong analytical skills, documentation skills, and people skills are a must
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
