We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced engineer to join our team as a Senior R&D Materials Scientist. In this role, you will be responsible for providing expert material science support for new and existing products in the Interventional Spine space.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct and supervise a broad range of experiments from discovery to formal verification/validation testing.
- Mitigate technical and budgetary risks.
- Set up, operate, and/or maintain the Engineering Sciences Lab.
- Lead studies for preclinical work including protocol development, scheduling development, planning, test execution, report generation, and assuring compliance to applicable standards.
- B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of 4 years of design/development experience in the medical device industry, or A.A. degree and 6+ years of work-related experience in the medical device industry.
- Experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD system(s).
- Preferred qualifications: experience with Orthopedic or Spine devices, Single use disposable tools, sterilization, biocompatibility, shelf-life testing.
