We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineering Construction Specialist to join our esteemed client, a leading general contractor with a significant presence across the nation. This role offers a competitive salary range of $95,000 - $115,000 USD.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather and compile data to develop accurate estimates and perform bid analysis.
  • Ensure safety is prioritized in all mechanical, electrical, and field construction activities.
  • Support the review of mechanical and electrical alternatives during the preconstruction and bidding phases, and conduct systems analysis for designated projects.
  • Contribute to bid analysis and provide valuable insights during the subcontractor selection process.
  • Assist in defining sequencing requirements for various systems to align with project schedules.
  • Facilitate the shop drawing and submittal process to ensure compliance with contract specifications.
  • Engage in the commissioning process by creating pre-functional checklists, functional testing procedures, and executing actual functional tests.
  • Verify that identified deficiencies are rectified and submit necessary commissioning documentation to stakeholders.
  • Review design documents to pinpoint potential quality issues and aid in the development of quality control programs while assisting with inspections.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related discipline; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
  • Strong ability to foster relationships and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Proficient in construction technology and software, with a solid understanding of plans, drawings, and specifications.
  • Familiarity with budget development and estimation processes.
  • A valid and unrestricted driver's license is required.
