We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at the Oglethorpe County Health Department. Your primary focus will be on preventing illness, injury, or disability, promoting health, and maintaining the health of populations.
Key Responsibilities- Provide professional nursing care to patients in accordance with nurse protocols, policies, and procedures.
- Focus on the prevention of illness, injury, or disability, the promotion of health, and maintenance of the health of populations.
- Care for populations with special needs during disasters/emergencies and biological and chemical protocols.
- Provide treatments for sexually transmitted infections, perform well-women exams, including pap smears, pelvic exams, breast exams, and provide preventive and maintenance care to patient/families consistent with the care plan and nurse protocols.
- Administer medications, including birth control, STI treatments, TB medications, and vaccines.
- Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
- Completion of a PHN course within one year of hire.
- Current Georgia Registration Professional Nurse license.
- CPR certification.
- One year of nursing experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university.
We offer a competitive salary of $60,000 per year, plus generous benefits, including 13 paid holidays, annual and sick leave, health insurance, and retirement plans.
