Responsibilities

  • Review daily schedules and conduct daily audits.
  • Thoroughly review patients' health and dental history forms.
  • Accurately chart each patient's periodontal health and dental conditions in Dentrix for diagnosis and treatment by the dentist.
  • Take X-rays of patients as directed by the dentist.
  • Perform comprehensive and gentle prophylaxis on patients.
  • Conduct scaling, root planing, and polishing procedures for patients.
  • Administer local anesthetics following practice guidelines.
  • Apply cavity-preventive agents like fluorides and sealants.
  • Capture intraoral camera images to assist in patient education.
  • Communicate with patients clearly and professionally.
  • Advise patients on oral health, including oral hygiene practices and nutrition.
  • Schedule recare appointments efficiently.

Qualifications

  • Active state license as a Dental Hygienist.
  • CPR certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a dedication to delivering high-quality care.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
